What is Gift Aid and why does it matter?
Gift Aid is a simple and easy way to make your donations worth more!
Through Gift Aid, we can claim an additional 25% on top of every donation you make, at no extra cost to you. That’s an extra 25p added to every £1 you donate, making a huge difference to us.
When you donate items, we can also claim Gift Aid when we sell them, either in our shops or online. So if you've not given consent yet, just ask a member of staff the next time you drop off your donations and they will be able to sign you up.
Last year, if all eligible donors had given consent to Gift Aid last year, we would have raised an extra £102,00! That amount could provide 3,400 hours of nursing care to seriously ill patients.
If you are eligible to Gift Aid and have donated in the past four years but not previously given consent, you can fill out our simple Gift Aid Declaration form.
Adding Gift Aid to your donation is as easy as 1,2,3!
Providing you're eligible to Gift Aid, the process is simple:
- Make a donation online or on a printed donation form
- Tick the Gift Aid box to give consent
- That’s it, we'll do the rest!
St Helena Hospice can now claim an extra 25% on your future donations, and any previous donations made in the last four years!
If you don't want to donate right now, but have donated to St Helena over the past 4 years, we can still claim Gift Aid on those donations by filling out this short form, if you're eligible.
