Several legal professionals will be waiving their standard single Will and standard mirrored (joint) Will writing fees and instead ask clients to make a minimum fee payment directly to St Helena Hospice to support its care for local people facing life-limiting conditions and bereavement.
Rosalyn Leclercq, Senior Philanthropy and Legacy Manager at St Helena Hospice, said:
“Having a Will in place means that you can have peace of mind that you have appointed a suitable person to address your affairs on your behalf after you die, that your funeral wishes are recorded, that the people and charities you want to receive your assets and which assets they should receive is included, and that guardianship of children under 18 is arranged.
“A Will isn’t just about who gets what, it’s about what and who matters and it lifts a weight off your loved ones after you die.
“Now is the time to book an appointment with one of our partnering legal professionals who are kindly waiving their usual fee and are instead offering a heavily discounted rate to save local people hundreds of pounds and support St Helena Hospice at the same time.”
Some of the participating solicitors are offering a discount to arrange Power of Attorneys too.
Appointments with participating solicitors and estate planners must be initially arranged through the hospice’s fundraising team in order to take advantage of the heavily discounted Will writing service, and spaces are strictly limited so book now for an October appointment.
