Pounds instead of presents, donations instead of drinks or cheques instead of a cake, there are lots of ways you can turn your birthday into funds for St Helena Hospice.
Can’t think what to ask for this year? Would you consider asking your friends and family to donate to St Helena Hospice instead of buying you a gift so that more local people who need our support can get the help they need when, and where, they need it?
If you’re a Facebook user, you’ll likely receive a notification asking you to create a Birthday Fundraiser a couple of weeks before your big day, in case you don’t or you’d like to start collecting earlier, you can set one up on Facebook.
Of course, if you don’t use Facebook you can still set up an online fundraising page on JustGiving or Timeless Tributes. Alternatively, why not celebrate turning one year older by making your own donation?
£150 could pay for homecooked meals for all of the patients staying at the hospice for one day - fish and chips is a particular favourite!

Lottery gift memberships
Choosing the perfect gift can be impossible, especially for that friend or family member who has everything! That's why our lottery team at Your Hospice Lottery have created gift memberships.
Available to purchase from £10, gift memberships give the recipient the opportunity to win weekly cash prizes from £10 to £25,000 and they'll be supporting St Helena Hospice at the same time. To purchase please call the lottery team on 0800 285 1390.
£500 could pay to run our SinglePoint office for a day, to provide advice and support over the phone 24/7.
